The students I teach are low income urban students. The school is a title one school. They desperately want to learn and do art projects that are both educational and fun. One third of the population is special needs out of the other two thirds half of them are ESL students. These types of students are visual as well as hands on learners. This program will allow them to learn English and math strategies like compare and contrast, facts and details and inferencing, they will also learn measurement and geometry skills. With these supplies they will be able to hear 2 stories use pictures they create to compare both stories. In math students will use measurement and geometry to create their own cities with a story they will create. The school at this time is running with a very limited budget as a result all the programs have suffered. Unfortunately the parents economically are unable to help. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciate by myself as well as my students.
