Boy, It's Cold Outside!

Help me give my students warm, waterproof mittens and scarves to help keep them warm.

My Project

In Michigan, we have very fickle weather. But, when it is cold, it is really cold. It’s been said that fresh air and sunshine in the winter keep children healthier than being indoors where germs love to live. So, we go outside every chance we can get. But often, my students are not prepared for the winter elements. They love playing in the snow. However, their hands can get very wet and cold while playing outside with knit gloves or bare hands.

Having warm dry mittens and scarves is very important as cold fingers and being cold can hurt and ruin outdoor time and make for a pretty grumpy child.

If a child has cold or wet hands, they will be miserable, and it often brings them to tears. From making snow castles to snow angels, these waterproof mittens will keep the children's hands nice and warm so they can explore the winter wonders! The scarves will keep out some of the cold from around their necks. The mittens and scarves will be kept at school so they won't be forgotten at home.

By helping us fund this project, you will be helping us to have more fun outdoors, enjoying and exploring the winter weather. The mittens and scarves will warm my little ones that come each year for years to come.
