Help me give my students a binding machine. A binding machine will benefit my students by keeping their journals intact. Having the journal binded will prevent them from getting ruined and it'll keep them organized.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 22 kindergartners in my classroom. The majority of my classroom are Hispanic and are of low socioeconomic. Ninety-nine percent of our school are minority and low socioeconomic as well. The school that I work at is one of the oldest schools in our community. Every day, my students come to class ready and eager to learn. Most of my students are Spanish speakers but they are ecstatic to learn a new language. At the end of the day, my students leave the class learning something new and it makes me feel like I accomplished my job.
My Project
The use of journals is a daily activity in our classroom. The only asset teachers have to combine the student's journals is a stapler which presents several disadvantages for the project. Disadvantages include but are not limited to journals falling apart, papers getting frayed and torn, and the use of multiple staples to best secure the children's journals. The journals are essential to the children's developmental skills of writing and record-keeping. It also serves as a tool for self-expression for the child in these already stressful times that we live in. The child can express their thoughts on certain topics given and, they can enhance their imagination and communication skills in their journals. The journals also give the student a sense of personalization or accomplishment. Throughout the school year, they write down their words and ideas in the makeshift journals we create. At the end of the school year, they know that the journal is theirs and theirs alone.
The use of a binding machine would drastically increase the appearance and professionalism of the children's journals.
As a teacher with over 20 years of experience, I know that the children would have more of a sense of pride in the creation of the journals. It would give them the feeling of publishing a book. Their journal would last for many years to come and would allow them to reflect on their first written project.
