Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a lot of student with ADHD who need to keep their bodies moving while learning. Students find it best to bounce in their seats while keeping focused on the lesson. This also allows for students to get their wiggles out without having to distract other students. So many studies have shown how moving also helps students who are kinesthetic learners retain information learned in class, another benefit from not only my students with needs but also students with varying earning styles.

We have to remain seated throughout the day for so long, that allowing movement at student's seats allows for them to give their bodies the mobility they need to reinforce their focus in class.

Something as simple as being able to balance from side to side can allow students the movement they need to remain focused in class. Third grade is already a grade level with so much transition into testing that throughout the year allowing some form of movement throughout the day really helps with the transition from K-2 to 3-5.
