My second-grade students love to learn and explore! They are students in a school of 400 students from kindergarten through fifth grade. When they enter the classroom each day they are excited to see what we are learning about that day and what new experience they will have. They love learning and having fun, especially when the two are connected. Each day they are pushed and challenged to be the best learner that they can be. I am extremely lucky to be their teacher and help them along their learning path!
The students in my classroom are excited about learning and developing as people.
The City of Rochester is located on the seacoast of New Hampshire. We are one of the biggest elementary schools in our district with a large population of families who are identified as in need. We are a Title I school as we have many families who qualify for Free and Reduced Priced Lunch. This does not change the fact that the students in my classroom find joy in learning new things. This project will help to provide them with the tools materials that they need to succeed to be the best learners they can be.
My Project
These bouncy bands will help my active learners have a way to release their energy and focus on their learning! Bouncy bands are bands that sit on the front of their desk and a place to rest their feet so that they can move and expel energy while they work, keeping all of their body engaged. They need a way to release energy and this is a constructive way to do so!
This year especially, there are more students in my classroom who would benefit from these amazing bouncy bands.
Having a way that is not distracting to others to move and provide a sensory input to their body is extremely important to help their growth and learning potential!
