My Students

My students are hard workers who overcome their environment every day. In our community, many students are listed as At-Risk or are of low socio-economic status. This year, I am proud to announce that my school offers free lunch for EVERY child. In addition, many students struggle to focus due to their ADD or ADHD.

Many of my students see school as a refuge, a safe place where they are fed, warm and loved.

My classroom is no exception. When they are in my room, my students are brave, confident, silly and sweet. They come to school every day eager to learn and achieve growth academically.

My Project

Two years ago my classroom received 22 bouncy bands since then, about 90 students have been able to benefit from their use. Fortunately for next school year, my students will be receiving new, smaller, desks from our school district. Unfortunately, this means that the bouncy bands that we love so much will be obsolete.

This is where you come in!

For next school year, I am looking to provide my bouncy learners with bouncy bands once again. I have witnessed a difference in my fidgety students and an increased ability to focus on the task at hand; especially during tests!
