I am requesting bouncy bands for my 2nd graders. Recently, our school underwent major construction, as a result the playground holds water more often than it did previously meaning our recess time is greatly affected. Though our school is doing everything they can to remedy this problem, we are trying to find ways to combat this issue in the classroom. Bouncy bands will allow my students to wiggle while also giving them a safe environment to learn. I do my best to give frequent brain breaks for my hardworking classes but sometimes they aren't enough. Bouncy bands will provide my students the freedom to move without distracting themselves or the others around them. Many of my students know that a good education will take them beyond the boundaries that have been set before them and that they need to focus in order to learn. * I am part of a Educator's association called Association of Texas Professional Educators (ATPE). This organization has been known to match any donations made to its members projects.
