Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students are always eager to take home their work to show to their adult at home so that they can see what they have learned. Having a special location where they can put all of their work to be taken home would help with organization in our classroom. This also allows the students to have a designated place where they can get work if they finish an activity or a center early.

The goal is also to give students an opportunity to learn while they are able to bounce and wiggle in a seat that is not a standard hard chair.

By having the yoga balls it allows students to move as they learn giving them a chance to also get some energy out as they learn.

Providing these resources allow my students to learn in a way that is not the typical chair seat and learn to organize since a young age. The students that we get usually come from a diverse homelife and culture. We have students who are new to the country, who do not speak or understand English, and students who come from traumatic experiences and providing them a way to learn while having a type of movement helps them.
