This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a first grade teacher at a Title I school in Las Vegas with a high ELL population. We have a great administration that strives for the best for all our students but their budget can only go so far, as well as my own budget. My students are a wonderful bunch of children. They are smart, funny, and enthusiastic to learn, and they deserve the best. I truly appreciate your support, and I am looking forward to showing you our new supplies being put to good use!

My Project

My first grade students are in need of some balance ball seats to help them enhance their learning. Every student is unique and learns in their own way. Some students need to tap a pencil or their foot to learn. Other times students get the wiggles, their chair goes up and down, forward and back, and sitting still is very difficult. These first graders just need to move.

These flexible ball chairs will help those students to get their wiggles out in a safe way and help them focus on learning.

They will be able to focus because these seats will allow them to move without hurting themselves or someone else, unlike the standard chairs that fall easily when rocked. It will also serve as less of a distraction to other students because they will not be watching the chair or the student getting up and down. Please help my students get their wiggles out in a bouncing, safe way.
