My Project

My students are joyful, energetic K–3 learners who receive special education services. Many of them need movement throughout the day in order to stay focused, calm, and engaged. Sitting still in traditional classroom chairs can be challenging and sometimes prevents them from showing what they truly know.

They learn best when their bodies are allowed to move in safe, appropriate ways.

This project will provide bounce chairs for my classroom. These chairs allow students to gently bounce while remaining seated, giving them the movement input their bodies need without disrupting learning.

Bounce chairs help students

maintain attention during lessons, regulate their emotions, and participate more successfully in classroom activities. They also give students an appropriate outlet for energy while keeping them safely in their learning space.

Why This Matters

For many K–3 students, especially those with special needs, movement is essential to learning. When students are able to move, they feel calmer, more confident, and more ready to learn.

Bounce chairs support sensory needs, reduce frustration, and help students build independence by choosing a seating option that works best for them. This creates a classroom environment where students can focus on learning rather than struggling to sit still.

Your donation will directly support young learners by giving them seating that meets their individual needs. With bounce chairs in our classroom, students will be better able to focus, engage, and grow academically and emotionally.
