Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 2nd grade class is made up of some very energetic children. Their learning styles and abilities are just as unique as their backgrounds. Although our school is very diverse, students in our school are primarily Hispanic from the Dominican Republic, Central and South America. The rest of the population of our school is a diverse mix of Chinese students, speaking Mandarin, and African American and Caucasian, English speaking students. Williamsburg, Brooklyn is such a multicultural neighborhood my class is sure to be a melting pot!

With such different learning styles and backgrounds we will have a lot to learn from each other this school year.

I hope that I can inspire my students to reach beyond their highest potential this year. I encourage them every day that they can do better than any one can could imagine, even the President! I want to make them life long learners, who strive every day to make this world a better place.

My Project

Many of my students have a very hard time focusing on our daily lessons. They like to move, wiggle, and bounce. These flexible seats will help the 2nd graders pay more attention, release some energy, sand learn! If we can grasp the students' attention, then we can help them learn as much as possible. We can make them more comfortable and give them the chance to bounce. These children should know it is alright to move around, as long as they ate learning! I cannot help them without you!
