My students need 2 Botley The Coding Robot and Action Challenge Accessory Packs to enhance their 21st century learning experiences.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
The students in my classroom come from all around the city of Rochester, NY. They are a diverse population immersed in the Montessori philosophy of learning. My multi-age group of students consist of 5th and 6th graders. We have students with learning disabilities as well as students that speak English as a new language. My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions!
We have many different learning styles in our classroom and I am always looking for ways to adapt my teaching to help them learn.
Students come to school every day eager to learn and spend time together. Over 90% of the students qualify for free lunch and breakfast. I am new to the school and new to the grade levels.
They are a fantastic group to work with!
Coding, S.T.E.A.M./S.T.E.M. are the way of education today. Botley, the Coding Robot is the first classroom-appropriate coding (computer programming) robot that is approved by STEM.org. He/she is appropriate for students at any coding level.
By donating to our project, you will help the students expand their skills of collaboration, independence and creativity.
The development and refinement of these skills are necessary for the 21st century learner. In today's highly digital world, coding is a new type of literacy.
As computers continue to become a more integral part of our daily lives, it is becoming just as important to teach our children to code as it is to teach them to read.
With the use of Botley, students will build their confidence in coding through fun, interactive and educationally sound experiences.
