My Students

My kindergarten classroom is full of 20 clever, full of life, five and six year old students who want to learn! Despite all of the crazy, unexpected events that have quickly haulted our time in the classroom, as of March 16th, my students are eagerly and actively participating in our new distance learning setting.

Our school district will remain closed for the rest of the school year, but that hasn't stopped my creative juices from flowing and actively searching for ways to better meet my students' needs.

My Project

No pandemic will stop me from helping my students learn the skills they need to be successful in life. My kiddos were learning how to read, write, and do simple addition and subtraction prior to school closures. Now, my living room is my classroom and they are my focus. Therefore, it is very important that I have the resources to help them grasp the concepts and skills they need to succeed in the next school year. Providing students with access to engaging resources and activities will help me to be successful in my efforts.

Teacher's Pay Teacher's is an incredibly valuable tool that allows teachers like myself to access curriculum that helps guide my instruction.

Providing students access to material while also finding resources they'll LOVE is extremely important! In our classroom, we use Boom Cards, PowerPoints, write the room activities, and a variety of other quality resources that help make learning FUN! With students already being familiar with these concepts, it makes it very easy to transfer these activities into our new distance learning classroom. It will take creativity and imagination to keep these little ones engaged during online instruction and that's why I need your help.
