My Students

Our school is made up of students ranging in age from three to eight years old. It is a Title I school, which means that many students come from low income families. My students are diverse in many ways; economically, academically, socially, and emotionally. All students have music twice a week for 30 minutes, where making music through dancing, singing, and playing instruments is the heart of our music program.

I always look forward to every music class because my students are smart, curious, funny, eager, and loving!

When a new class enters the music room, I am always met with smiles and excitement. All of my students love to make and experience music!

My Project

The Quaver music curriculum is web based, which makes it accessible to all of my students both at school and at home! Using this music curriculum in my classes will provide the students with a fun, engaging and challenging framework for each week with literally the push of a few buttons. I can instantly immerse them in an engaging musical world that is not only exciting but aligned with the National Music Standards.

Donations to this project will impact every single student in our district, grades K-5.

Quaver's Marvelous World of Music will get students creating music, critically listening, singing, playing instruments and participating in many activities. Students will benefit not just because of the content, but also because this program is a fun and engaging way to learn! It will help transform our music classroom into the marvelous world of music they love!
