Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher of special needs students, ranging from intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbance, and autism, students needs consistency more than anything else.

These curriculum books would help my students achieve their IEP and academic goals.

They will enhance their learning, will limit the amount of worksheets students will have (thus limiting their frustrations), and it is interactive and targets different skills weekly. Students enjoy completing these activities, but coming from a low income community makes it hard to make copies at times, this limiting the amount of activities that we can complete. If each student (all on different grade levels) were able to have their own workbooks, we would not longer have to worry about printing.

It also includes homework and the pages are easy to rip off, so students wouldn't have to carry such heavy books back and forth. Everything would be in one place, making it so much easier for students to learn. With these new curriculum books, students can also easily choose which topic they would like to learn about that day, increasing their autonomy and independence, which is somethings we strive for out special needs students to achieve.
