Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are amazing young adults who show grit every day as they overcome daily challenges. They are driven and intelligent young people who want to learn as much as they can. Many of these students are struggling readers, who need a variety of different books in order to improve their reading comprehension and vocabulary. I have been able to acquire a variety of books, but now I need shelving to display and store these books.

I want to create a cozy and lovely reading nook with beautiful and practical book shelves for my classroom library, so that students have a great experience while reading, which will make them want to read more.

Students will be able to choose from a variety of books from the bookshelves as well as store their journals and notebooks in the cabinet. It will help display the books, so that students know where to get the books and can look through my collection in order to find the perfect book for themselves .
