My Students

A mini-library in an alternative school! Can you believe it? It is incredible! The only problem is that we don't have shelving or enough funds to buy them. The books are sitting in boxes in another room. Please help complete the mini-library; we have been blessed! Thank you for your help!

My students are wonderful!

We have a great time learning in English class. When I told them about all the books that came in, they were so excited and wondered when they could look at them. "New books--can you believe it?" The majority of our population is lower SES and alternative students. This could be a bright inspiration in, for many, a dull world! Thank you for donations, and we appreciate all your help!

My Project

We received new textbooks this year. Because I am the only high school English teacher, we received the accompanying books for English I - IV. My students are excited about the mini-library and the reading section we will be creating to enjoy these new resources! I'm going to thrift stores to find lamps, and I'm adding plants to the area. I also found rockers on sale and purchased them with my own money. We are looking forward to utilizing this area and being the best alternative English classroom in the state!

Students will now be able to have the books.

The books won't be locked up in another room stored in boxes. They are looking forward to the bookshelf improvements and excited about starting their new reading journey and environment!
