Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My new class of fifth graders graders are at a Title I school in Annapolis, Maryland. I want my classroom resources to match the needs of my students. My students are not always able to go out and see the world, so I do my best to bring the world to them.

I want to cultivate a positive, caring, and kind community in my classroom!

These books feature diverse characters and a strong central message for my readers. These books will be a wonderful addition to our classroom library and provide resources for meaningful read alouds during shared reading time.

My Project

These books will be read aloud to my students as well as displayed in our classroom library. These books will reflect the diversity of the students in my class and support our goal of a creating a kind and caring classroom community by teaching a strong central message.

My students love to read, and reread, books that teach character traits and meaningful life lessons.

Thank you for supporting my students as learners and young people who will grow up to change the world. These books will inspire reading, writing, and dreaming big dreams for my students. We will enjoy these books for years to come!
