My Project

Books are one of the most important tools for helping young children become successful readers. In first grade, students are developing foundational literacy skills such as letter recognition, phonemic awareness, vocabulary and comprehension. These books will provide opportunities for read-alouds and independent exploration. As students listen to and interact with stories, they can build vocabulary understand story structure and truly develop a love of reading. Most importantly, these books will help create a classroom environment where reading is exciting and accessible for all learners I want my students to grow to be strong successful readers!
