Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

First graders are curious about the world around them. I have a fantastic group of first graders this year. We have been back to school for a few months now and they love to come to school and learn with their friends. I teach at a Title I school, and the majority of the students receive free or reduced-price lunches.

Despite the many challenges they may face outside of school, my students are enthusiastic and curious about the world around them.

Many of them take their newfound knowledge and teach their family members at home. They take pride in their learning, and they love to learn.

My Project

I have an amazing group of first grade students. The picture books will be used for their social emotional learning as they cover different topics such as kindness and respect. I have some fantastic readers and soon to be readers in my class. They are wanting to read chapter books. These reading series are perfect to challenge my students and are of high interest. The TPT gift card will be used to purchase additional decodable fiction and some non-fiction readers for my students. The printable books are fantastic for them. They can have their own set of books at home.
