My Project

My students love interactive, "choose your own adventure" type books and I think the History Smasher series will be a "smash" with the readers who want to learn more about a certain era.

In addition to history books, we need more Spanish books!

Books in Spanish or about Latin culture are read by our students who are trying to learn Spanish but also by our students who are trying to learn English! These books are great to help bridge the language and culture gap.

Another gap we want to bridge is between nonreaders and novels. For years, students loved the Warrior series but the distractions of technology have made reading long novels a challenge. I hope to use the Warrior graphic novels to get kids reinterested in the novels and draw them in to reading more.
