My Project

This project is all about social emotional learning. At the beginning of the year (and during), we focus on social emotional learning in the classroom. A great way to talk about things is through mentor texts.

I have requested a variety of books and plush toys that will help jump start conversations and promote mindfulness in the classroom.

The conversation starter cards will be used during morning meetings. These cards will help to start conversations between students who might not have thought they had things in common.

These books and cards are great resources to use throughout the year, not just at the beginning. Students are always interested in new books!
