My Project

My students live in a book desert, meaning not many of them have access to books outside of school. I strongly feel that books are a right, not a privilege and as a school librarian, I do everything in my power to provide books for my students.

Every student deserves access to books!

Reading isn't easy for everyone and not every student has someone at home to read to them. However, there are tools available to help even the most struggling reader feel successful. Wonderbooks are an amazing product that allow students to read a book, but, also plug in a set of headphones and listen along. This revolutionary type of book is going to be a complete game-changer for my students and I look forward to watching their excitement for reading grow.
