Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are at the most amazing stage of their lives, they're tweens! Many people fear them, (most wince or share an audible groan when I tell them what grade I teach) but they don't know how fun and rewarding it is to spend the day with my 6th-grade students!
I want to provide them with more books and flexible seating, such as a bean bag, so that they feel more welcomed and engaged in our classroom.
Our classroom will undergo some updates to be more organized and provide a better environment for students.
Light diffusers and posters with relaxation techniques will also help our classroom environment feel more peaceful, which helps with students' anxiety, stress, and SEL.
Professional development books for myself will help me better understand and serve my students. Materials from TPT will help me bring engaging resources to the class that can enhance student understanding and success. Stamps will also allow me to communicate more quickly and efficiently with my students.
