My Project

Children's lives can be transformed with quality literature. It promotes the joy of reading, develops children’s vocabulary, and increases their ability to think, talk, and write about texts that fully engage their interest. These texts will be read aloud to my class so they can see how characters deal with everyday problems that children deal with encounter. Themes of being a better friend, how to be a friend, right from wrong, acceptance, love of self, and being different are all included. These books will also help my children become more socially and emotionally healthy. Genres of realistic fiction and fantasy will allow children to see the world through two different lens.

When doing intentional teaching of connecting ideas, central themes, and genre, children's reading foundations become even stronger!
