Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This project is all about getting awesome books into the hands of EVERY child in in our first grade and second grade departments!

We have a very diverse group of readers at our school!

Their reading levels range from beginning readers to advanced and we want every child in first and second grade to have books just right for them. Having books tailored to their individual needs will help to boost their reading confidence so much.

For this project we are requesting new books and a mobile book storage cart that will make for easy transport of the books between the first and second grade classrooms. We plan to fill the cart with many books throughout the year to share between both grades.
