Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need a mobile book bin to make classroom books easily accessible during independent reading, small-group instruction, and literacy centers. A portable, organized library will help students develop stronger reading habits and foster a greater love of books.

Reading is one of the most important skills my students develop throughout the school year.

Many of my students become more engaged and motivated readers when they can easily browse and select books that interest them. Currently, our classroom library is difficult to move and organize, limiting students’ access during different learning activities.

A sturdy mobile book bin will allow me to bring books directly to students during guided reading, reading workshops, partner reading, and flexible seating activities. The rolling storage system will help keep books organized by genre, reading level, or topic while making transitions smoother and more efficient.

With improved access to books, students will spend more time reading independently, exploring new genres, and building confidence as readers.
