Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am blessed to be teaching the sweetest group of first graders. They love school and learning all about new things. Our school is a Title I school where most of my students live in homes with grandparents and single-parent families. They deserve the very best education.

My students are motivated and eager to do their best.

They work hard, and their excitement in all that they do in the classroom is a joy to watch. I am so proud of them and all that they have accomplished so far this year. I want them to have everything they need to learn and excel to be ready for second grade.

My Project

My sweet first graders need a cozy classroom library where they can curl up with a good book! Help me create an organized and well stocked classroom library. Having an organized leveled book cart will allow students to find books on their level easily. Book bags will be used to send several books home with students every night! The books I have selected are various level text so that each child can choose from multiple books on their level. Help me not only fill the classroom, but homes with good books too!
