This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help expand the collection of Spanish-language books in our high school library. Our library serves a diverse student population in our urban Connecticut community. Many of our students come from bilingual or Spanish-speaking households, and access to books in their native language is essential to fostering a love of reading, supporting literacy development, and honoring their cultural heritage.
Unfortunately, our current selection of Spanish-language books is limited, leaving many students without engaging, high-quality reading materials that reflect their identities and interests.
With your generous donation, we can purchase a wider range of books in Spanish. These books will not only provide valuable reading material but also help promote bilingual literacy and academic success. By offering more inclusive resources, we aim to create a library where every student feels seen, represented, and encouraged to explore the world of literature. Every dollar you give will directly impact our ability to provide these important books to our students.
