Books Galore! First Graders Love to Read!

Help me give my students a great selection of independent reading books to use to practice the skills they’ve learned in reading.

My Project

The first graders in my class LOVE to read! They have worked so hard this year to become wonderful readers. We have recently started independent reading in our classroom. The students have a time to practice their skills independently and they love it!

By receiving these books, my students will have more choices to read books at their reading level.

It is important that students have “just right” books when they read. I want to help continue the love of reading by providing books that are accessible to students. It is important they read books that they can decode and understand.

The different choices that students will get from the chosen books in this project will provide students to choose books they’re interested in. Students will more likely read books if books are provided that sparks their interest.
