Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At our school, we celebrate author Amy Krouse Rose by celebrating Yes Week! Students look forward to the end of the week when teachers have to say YES to everything they ask (within reason, of course) just like the characters in "Yes Day" by Amy Krouse Rose. Throughout the week, students participate in themed attire while teachers have classroom read alouds that fit the theme.

"I Am Me: A Book of Authenticity" by Susan Verde will be read to students while they wear mismatched socks to celebrate how their differences make them unique just like in the book!

At the end of the week, all students will be able to keep a copy of one of the books read to them to add to their personal library.

Thank you for contributing and being a part of this special week for our students.
