Books for Wander-ful Readers!

My students need more books for independent reading time in my classroom. I especially want to expose them to grade appropriate classics!

My Students

My students come from a very rural area and have extremely limited access to life experiences. In my classroom, that is where they experience the world.

I want to create a safe, fun, learning environment for every student so they are able to learn who they are, where their strengths lie and become strong, future leaders of our country.

Because of our rural location, my class size is usually on the smaller side, which allows us to become a very close family over the year.

My Project

This project will help expand my extremely limited classroom library so my students can find books that interest them and engage them in their independent reading time. Books are the gateway to the world and for my students, offer the only chance they get to explore new places and people.

Of course, having more opportunities to read will help my students increase their fluency and comprehension.

For many of my students, this will impact their learning in all subjects. This will also help build confidence in their learning and I am so excited to offer a wider selection to my students.
