I've been blessed all of my life with having the best students. I can't recall a year that wasn't awesome and fun year-round. The kids come into class with a thirst for knowledge. It's clear that they love my school and are excited to try new things, join different clubs, and make new friends. In my class, we act as a family. We encourage each other, we laugh together, and hey, we even sometimes disagree at times. We look out for one another and really push the value of love and aloha.
My Project
These extra copies of the book will help enhance learning by giving the students an opportunity to see the book and re-read the words to understand story elements. The author is also a skilled artist and talking about the pictures illustrated helps in learning about text structures.
These individual copies of the same book for each student will allow the class to read the book together and have students able to see all the beautiful pictures.
Instead of them seeing a typed-up version I normally hand out, they can each have their own copy of the book to learn different reading strategies by looking at the pictures, looking for character traits, and learning about the illustrator's unique way of art.
