This coming year we will be using the workbooks and the famous Oklahomans books to master the knowledge of understanding the state we live in. . We will be using these throughout the full year. My past students really love them, it has been a morning routine in our classroom. As soon as we do the Pledge of Allegiance and eat our breakfast, we take out our journals. Since the use of the journals, I have seen increased growth in their reading scores. The journals cover many strategies, among them reading, writing, research skills, and many more.
Because I saw so much success in using these journals, I will be implementing the use of the journals this upcoming school year.
I am asking for books on Oklahoma to help with research and journaling. When this journal was used last school year, I noticed students' punctuation and editing skills, and reading comprehension highly increased from the beginning to the end of the school year. This helps the students practice the skills to mastery.
