My Students
My students are awesome! They all come from diverse backgrounds, but they come ready to learn and soak up new experiences. Although our school is in a rural community, we have a diverse population of students. Many of our students are fairly new to our country and are just learning to speak English.
My classroom is a place where kids can come together to learn and have fun regardless of their differences or needs.
Throughout the school year, we work hard to improve academically, socially, emotionally and we build relationships within the community.
My Project
Middle school boys don't always want to read, like to read or find any interest in reading. I am working on filling my classroom library with books that will get my boys to read! They love graphic novels because they are quick, action packed reads. I want them to find the joy in a lengthier novel that will keep their interest.
Stick Dog and Diary of a Sixth Grade Ninja are two fantastic series that will will keep my boys picking up the next book in the series!
