My Students
My classroom has 32 wonderful students. Each day my students walk in with smiles on their faces ready to learn. They are hungry for knowledge and full of life.
I have a classroom full of thoughtful, hard-working, and creative 4th graders.
My class shows their thoughtfulness through cheering for other students when they experience success. They help one another in class, offering to be peer tutors or take notes for absent students.
My class builds each other up with compliments and caring gestures. My class is extremely hard-working. They set goals for themselves and work had to achieve them. My class shows their creativity in the way they like to look at things from multiple ways and solve problems in new and different ways.
My Project
These materials will make a great difference in my students learning! Students will master Common Core Standards of integrating information, informational and narrative writing and also even help them to master a California 4th grade Social Studies standard!
These books will allow students to dive deep into their learning, really learning about a person or topic in a way where they have choice.
They could choose to learn about Walt Disney, Jackie Robinsion, Malala Yousafzai, or so many others. It is my hope that learning about these people also inspires them. The Titanic books will use the inform us about the Titanic's Voyage and then we will write an informational piece about what caused the Titanic to sink and also a historical fiction narrative (students will pretend to be a passenger on the Titanic)! We will learn about the Gold Rush as well and write a historical fiction narrative as someone who participated in the Gold Rush. Your donation could make this all possible for my students! Thanks for considering donating!
