This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fifth graders love to read! They read anything they can get their hands on. Unfortunately, I do not have multiple copies of a great classic novel and can't afford to buy them myself.

This classroom set will allow us to read together in a whole-class book study.

It is my desire to have my students experience the whole group reading experience where they can enter meaningful discussions around the many themes of good literature books. I also want my students to feel a sense of accomplishment after reading and dissecting the novel through a more analytical lens.

I can't wait to boost the "joy of reading" mindset in my students.
