My 4th graders are curious, imaginative, persistent, and motivated. They love to make choices in their learning at school, and now at home. They have been resilient through the transition to distance learning.
My 4th graders left school and their supplies in our classroom not knowing that they would not be able to enter the room to gather their materials.
COVID-19 closed our school March 13th through the end of the year. Students are now learning through a variety of online resources, lessons, and meetings.
My Project
Our school was abruptly closed on March 13th due to COVID-19. Students have not had a chance to gather their materials to bring home yet. Students have been supported through our district with access to technology as they continue learning from home, but many do not have access to other learning materials.
My students need access to books at home while schools and libraries are closed.
While these 4th graders have been resilient and have adapted to online learning, nothing replaces snuggling up with a book in your hand.
My goal is to provide each student with two books of their very own to enjoy at home while distance learning. Please consider supporting these voracious readers with books they will love!
