Do you remember the first book you could read on your own? My students have just started reading on their own and need more books on their level so they can continue to succeed.
My students are an amazing group of learners with special needs in first and second grades.
They love to work hard in the classroom and beyond to find unique ways of applying their knowledge. They inspire me everyday to provide the best for them, and I love to see them grow and learn so well.
My Project
My students have specialized learning disabilities which make reading, writing, and math difficult to learn in a general education classroom. However, they continue to amaze me with the daily strides they make in their learning.
The books that I have requested are on my students' reading levels and are matched with a reading program at our school. The program will give my students a quiz that they must take on their own based on the book they have read.
The success I have already seen has improved their self confidence and desire to read more and more. These requested books will allow my students to have more variety and opportunities to read books at their level and gain confidence in their skills.
These books will provide my students with opportunities to read on their own and gain confidence in their reading.
This confidence will allow them to continue to improve and set their goals above and beyond what they imagined before.
