A number of year ago, with the help of friends and family I started to create a Social Justice Library for my classroom - I wanted my students who are all recent immigrant and refugees to the U.S. to have bookshelves filled with stories where they could see themselves represented and see their friends represented, where they could learn about each other and where they could grow.
This year I am continuing to build out our library filling it with a powerful collection of more than 280 titles
And this project will help our class library grow!
I want to now continue building out our library with more titles and powerful stories that will hopefully inspire my students and help them grow.
I also want to get more paper for our student binders and tissues for the colds that come when the seasons change. In addition one of my classes is doing an action civics project around water quality in schools. Help us test our water with these water kits and advocate for cleaner water in MA schools.
