My Students

I have the best students in the school! My kids, as I refer to them, are special needs students in a self-contained setting ranging in age from 8 to 11. They are all very sweet and kind. Though there are only six in my class this year they are very diverse both academically and emotionally. They all have a love of life and enjoy socializing and learning just like other students. They are no different from their general education grade level partners in that respect.

Each of my students is an individual with individual needs and individual interests.

No two are alike.

My Project

My student enjoy reading. They love finding out new things and learning about new places and travailing the world. Our only problem is that many of our books have no home and need to be organised. These items will not only help us keep our classroom library organised but will allow us the mobility to take our library anyplace in the building or on the grounds.

My hope in making the books mobile is to be able to take my students outside on a nice day and have them enjoy the outdoors while reading.

We will be able to sit and relax in nature when they need to calm down and take a break from the over stimulation of the classroom.
