My students never cease to amaze me! Their positivity and curiosity have no end, and I love seeing how much they grow and change throughout the year. I love the school I teach at; we have a lot of autonomy as educators, and I want my students to feel the same way. I try to empower them by giving them choices wherever I can. We strive to build classroom unity and find ways to build each other up. I'm always impressed with how much they go out of their way to help each other and create a safe environment for one another.
My students are special and unique, and so are their needs.
They are determined and hard-working; they persevere inside and outside of the classroom. I could go on and on about how wonderful they are. Really, I just want them to have the best because they are the best.
My Project
This year has been full of unknowns, especially for my students! My kiddos are at a new school, with new faces, and new expectations. And with COVID, we have new routines and procedures. We have been lucky to have so many exciting new tools at our fingertips this year! However, we are missing one of the most important and exciting parts of school: books!
I have a variety of learners, and new books will provide students with an opportunity to explore new interests and improve their reading skills.
The books I have chosen are classics, and I am excited to give my students a chance to dive into them head first, and become better readers as they go.
