My Project

Everyone’s favorite time of the school day is when we get to grab a book and read together. My students absolutely love when a story is read to them.

Kindergarten students need read-aloud books to build crucial vocabulary, comprehension, and listening skills while fostering a love for reading.

It exposes them to complex language beyond everyday conversation, improves focus, and strengthens emotional connections to stories. Additionally, it models proper fluency and expression.

Kindergarten students need to have stories read to them daily. It provides opportunities to cultivating a lifelong habit of reading.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
