Caring, curious, and courageous; those are just a few words to describe the 42 amazing students that I teach every day. One thing that my students look forward to each day is independent reading time, where they are able to relax and get lost in a book.
I teach in a grade 3 dual language program where my students spend half of their day learning in Spanish and the other half of the day with me learning in English.
The students are native and non-native English speakers and have been learning in a dual language setting since kindergarten.
My Project
My students have truly fallen in love with reading this year. They have gotten hooked on many book series this year and I have had a difficult time keeping up with them in the number of books I have in my personal library. With this project, I will add many more books to my personal library for my students to read and enjoy. We all know that the more a child reads the more successful they will be. Please help me to feed my students' love of reading but helping me to purchase more book series for them to enjoy.
