My Students

My students are always willing to work hard and try new things. They like to play games and do activities to enhance their understanding of a new concept.

Some of them don't get the necessary support from home, so giving them all the support I can at school will help them to grow in their learning!

Our school is a Title I school where 90% of our student body receives free or reduced-price lunch. Every child deserves a chance to get a great education!

My Project

My students need help understanding different concepts that we are learning in class. Having mentor texts to read to my students will reinforce what I am teaching them. For example, having the altered fairy tales and legends will help teach theme throughout the different stories. Having The Day the Crayons Quit! will help teach main idea and having the Kindness is Cooler book will help teach my kids to be kind and how to show kindness towards others.

Through books, my students will come to understand the topic we are going over and also get excited about reading.

Having the social emotional books will really help my students understand how to express themselves, help each other out and learn to deal with tough situations.
