This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This school year, I have been fortunate to have a class that has a love of reading. They will go to our class library every chance they can.
Unfortunately, my classroom library is in need of some new books, and the one series that the students love is the Diary of A Wimpy Kid.
Even my students that are reading below grade level, tend to grab these Diary books and are successful at reading them and comprehending them. I love to see them reading and enjoying it. Having these books will truly help foster the love of reading for many students now and in the future.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
