My Students

Help 1st graders open doors and feed their imagination through books.

My first graders are curious and energetic children.

They come to school each day eager to learn. My children are just starting to be able to read. They live in a rural town in Georgia. They attend a Title 1 school where over 82% are free or reduced lunch.

My Project

My students need "I Can Read!" books on their level and teaching centers to make their future brighter. Due to budget cuts we are unable to buy new books at our school. The books that I would love to have for them are on their reading level. After a little guidance, they will be able to read them on their own. Having these books would give the children the opportunity to have books to take home and be able to read each night.

These books will open the doors to reading for my first graders.

Getting this project funded would place books into my students' hands and make their future brighter. If you can read, you can do anything!
