My Project

My students mean everything to me. They are so creative and talented. We live in Appalachia in North Carolina and they do not always have access to the things they need. These kids are so special and education is not always emphasized to them as important and by having these items from this list I hope they can have an even more positive school experience and begin to share the love for school that I have.

The books will hopefully allow them to find stories that make them excited to read, the seating/bands/fidgets will give them comfort and coping strategies when things get hard, the markers and other typical items will give them supplies that they can’t always bring in on their own.

I just want the classroom to feel comfortable and like they have all that they need.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
