My Students

My students are in a rural school district in Arkansas. Students in our district compete in wrestling and archery. They love to hunt, fish, and ride their four-wheelers on country backroads. My 5th graders help out in their local churches. They love Friday night football games and play/cheer at Saturday Pee Wee games. Not only do they play hard, they also work hard. This group of students is a hardworking bunch. And what a polite group! They say "good morning" and "have a nice day." They compliment me and each other.

Because these young ladies and gentlemen are so amazing, they deserve an updated library.

I have been teaching for quite some time now, and I need newer and more popular titles in my classroom library. There are so many great books out there. The kids are always asking for certain books that I do not have.

My Project

For my project, I would like to provide some updated titles into my outdated library! Older titles with an updated cover grab students' attention to classics. A new title in a beloved series is always a request. The titles I have chosen are books that my kids have asked for or books I see them checking out in the library. They talk to each other about the exciting and fun stories they are reading. But the school library may only have one copy. I would love to have them available in my classroom so my kids can devour them and keep growing as readers.
