My Project

I have an amazing group of first-grade students who love school and learning! My students are a part of a gifted cluster who need to be challenged constantly. Like most classrooms, I have a very diverse group of students. Our school is a Title I school, where students qualify to receive free breakfast and lunch. Although finances are a struggle at times, they eagerly come to school and work very hard. They know that through education, they will be able to better their lives and change the world in a positive way. As a culturally responsive educators, I am committed to engaging students through lessons and activities that validate and affirm their cultures. As we enter into Black History Month, there is no better time than now to celebrate the live and legacy of great African American change agents and inventors who helped to our world. Help me put books in the hands of my scholars as they embark on new learning this month.
